Building a Decentralized Nintendo
Treasure.lol the new decentralized gaming ecosystem?
Is Treasure the new decentralized gaming ecosystem?
They want to bring games and players together, and I did a deep dive into their system to see how it works. Treasure-verse seems to be the durable hardware for blockchain game software. To devs, it gives the tools to build sustainable game worlds; to players, it hands over the keys to unlock a multitude of metaverses. It’s the ultimate game console.
Currently, they provide the following games on their platform:
- The Beacon
- Kuroro
- Tales of Elleria
- BattleFly
- Smolverse
- Bridgeworld
- Realm
- Knights of the Ether
Knowing this, it does look a little bit like a Nintendo concept which we all know worked very well when the first consoles and games came out.
Just as Nintendo built the NES, the core TreasureDAO team has created a valuable framework for Web 3.0 games. They’ve even made a budding NFT marketplace and a compelling world narrative that has enchanted a strong community of players. That is Treasure-verse: durable hardware for blockchain game software. It’s the ultimate game console.
Now, why is this important to you as a gamer?
- Ownership: This concept works very well if you let the players own their in-game assets and decide what they want to do with them.
- Community-driven: This is important not just for any game but for a lot of companies; you need to be “community-driven” the people that spend the most time on your games or building your products can give you precious feedback, and without players or employees, a company does not exist.
- Innovation: They set a framework for innovation on which games can be built. It allows games to focus on game development, hopefully leading to exciting projects.
The $MAGIC Token
The token looks promising, and it is listed on major stock exchanges. So it must have clear and robust signs that make it suitable, right?
The first advice I always give is to check out the community and socials of a token before investing in it. At first glance, with over 100.000 followers on Twitter and 28.000 members on their discord, this looks like a solid project. However, don’t always be fooled by the numbers; also, check the activity and impressions because many brands these days use bots to inflate their socials.
