Trump launches NFT trading card collection for $99
On his official Truth Social account, former US President Donald Trump announced a fresh NFT collection. The website for the collection advertises that each of the digital trading cards costs "only $99!"
An NFT collection has been added to the list of branded products that the former American president, Donald Trump, is well known for releasing.
The Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection was unveiled on Trump's Truth Social account.
“Would make a great Christmas gift. Don’t Wait. They will be gone, I believe, very quickly!” Trump wrote.
The website for the collection advertises that each card is only $99! A 1-on-1 Zoom call or an hour of golf with Trump are among the prizes available in sweepstakes connected to the collection launch.
Sweepstakes And Prizes: Each NFT purchased enters the purchaser into a sweepstake to win thousands of prizes.
Among the prizes listed on the website are:
- Miami Dinner with Trump
- Mar-A-Lago group cocktail
- One-on-one meeting with Trump
- 1 Hour of Gold with Trump and two friends
- Zoom call with Trump
“Win incredible prizes, including your chance to spend time with the President of the United States,” the website reads.
According to the site, 45,000 NFTs will be produced in the collection's “initial” run, which will be minted on the Polygon blockchain. Trump's announcement comes after his 2024 presidential campaign was made public.
Trump, President of the United States from 2017 to 2021, lost his bid for reelection in 2020 and made up evidence that the election had been rigged. Based on recent polling and his party's dismal showing in the 2022 midterm elections, the former US president may have difficulty winning the Republican Party's presidential nomination.
