Binance Registers With Swedish Regulator

As with France, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Cyprus, and Poland, Sweden is the latest European country where Binance is registered

As a result of Binance's current registration with Sweden's Financial Supervisory Authority, the Scandinavian nation has become the seventh European jurisdiction to give the cryptocurrency exchange its stamp of approval. Binance Nordics AB holds registration number 66822.

As a result, according to an announcement by Binance on Wednesday, people living in Sweden will soon be able to use the exchange's Visa card, buy and sell cryptocurrency in euros, access Binance's staking service, and use it, among many other services. The registration in Sweden comes after the cryptocurrency exchange Binance was first recognized in France, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Cyprus, and Poland. Richard Teng, Head of Europe and MENA at Binance, commented:

“Binance continues to demonstrate its commitment to work closely with regulatory agencies to uphold global standards. Our registration in Sweden is the result of many months of diligent, hard work from our team, underpinning our commitment to the Swedish market and our users. We are deeply grateful for the support from the Swedish Financial Services Authority throughout the application process and for the approval. Sweden is now amongst the growing list of global jurisdictions that have granted regulatory approval to Binance.”

Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao stated on Wednesday at the Crypto Finance Conference held in St. Mortiz, Switzerland, that the company intends to continue its scaling plans with the goals of increasing its headcount by 15% to 30%.

Furthermore, Zhao stated that by 2022, the number of employees at Binance had risen to 8,000. This would put the exchange in stark contrast to many of its competitors, many of which have been reducing the number of employees they have over the past few months, a trend that appears likely to continue in 2023.
