Explore a Dynamic and Immersive World: Kryptoria

What is Kryptoria?

Kryptoria is an immersive map-based blockchain game that encourages players to trade, fight for and spend resources in order to dynamically upgrade their in-game characters.

There are three types of ownable in-game assets: Alpha Citizens, Land, and Weapons. 10,000 of each asset will be available to mint, split across three separate collections.

Players have the freedom to choose between one of the two factions that inhabit Kryptoria. Having survived a war with oppressive establishment forces on Earth, these two factions that once were unified, now stand opposed on the brink of a new civil conflict.

Lore

I won't delve too deeply into it, but I do want to mention the lore created for the game, which is a 24-minute-long story that's highly engaging for fans of storytelling.

Ingame assets

As mentioned above, the in-game assets are divided into three categories:

• Alpha Citizens
• Land
• Weapons

These assets allow you to control how your Alpha Citizens will develop over time. With dynamic upgrades, you can swap almost any trait of your Alpha Citizen with new traits from a marketplace. There will be limited edition collections, NFT project collaboration collections, and web2 partnerships according to their website.

This leads to an interesting topic, which we already touched on a few times. Web2 adopting web3.

The concept is there and it has everything web2 currently needs, but we haven’t seen web3 gaming projects successfully pulling the same level of success as web2 games yet. I believe the main reason for this is the lack of a competitive environment, where players are able to develop a future for themselves by playing these games full-time.

Gameplay

First of all, it is clear that this game is still in Beta launch. It’s not as easy to just go to the website and start playing the game directly, compared to a game like EV.IO for example. Many players like to learn while playing, and this game does not have this option yet.

The company values

This is a topic that is almost never seen because a lot of projects simply don’t have company values. For this reason, I feel it's interesting to mention these, as the Values of a game should always be based on community feedback, and most importantly, games are meant to be fun!

Here's what Kryptoria has to say about its values:

Closing thoughts:

My first impression is that Kryptoria has been set up very professionally. It is clear that the game is still in its early stages, which makes me interested to see how they will develop their competitive scene, and which web2 partners they will work with as they expand.

Something I would like to see added is that, when you press play, you enter a tutorial or have to go through some tips & tricks, as you'd see in Axie Infinity. Overall, I believe this to be a promising project that I'll be following closely.
