On-chain refers to data and activities that are recorded directly on a blockchain, a decentralized and tamper-resistant digital ledger. Transactions, smart contracts, and any information stored on the blockchain are considered on-chain. It implies transparency, security, and immutability, as once data is added to the blockchain, it becomes a permanent part of the distributed ledger.
