AMMs, short for Automated Market Makers, function as decentralized exchanges (DEXs) that streamline the buying and selling of cryptocurrencies for individual traders. Unlike conventional order book systems where users trade directly with one another, AMMs allow users to interact directly with the exchange itself through the use of algorithmic "money robots."
