Solana becoming a Cardano side chain?
Solana becoming a Cardano side chain is a joke that is going too far, in no short part from Charles Hoskinson weighing in.
The Cardano network’s recent efforts in urging Solana to become its sidechain have caught the crypto community's attention. A Twitter poll started by an anonymous user showed that 82% of participants favor collaboration between the two networks.
Cardano’s creator, Charles Hoskinson, acknowledged the poll and advised the Solana team to become a sidechain for Cardano. However, this suggestion was started as a joke, as the possibility of Solana becoming a sidechain for the ADA network is slim due to its unique algorithms and functions.
The Cardano community took the joke further and suggested that joining the ADA network would be Solana’s only hope for survival. This comment was in response to Solana’s performance this year, which saw the network’s value drop from a high of $197.88 to a low of $11.01.
While a collaboration between Cardano and Solana is technically impossible, the Twitter poll and suggestions from the community show an interest in the potential benefits of a sidechain for Cardano’s scalability. Previously, Dogecoin was asked to migrate to the Cardano network and operate as its sidechain.
